Additionally, the Coron Air Mips has been updated to include the Mips Brain Protection System, which offers enhanced rotational impact protection.
The specially formed ear chambers in the helmet are designed to minimize the negative impact on balance and hearing that is often associated with wearing a full-face helmet. Furthermore, the fiberglass shell and multi-impact EPP liner combine to deliver high-impact performance, durability, and low weight.
Developed in collaboration with POC Team athletes, including Martin Söderström and Robin Wallner, the Coron Air Mips provides the level of protection trusted by professionals.
The Coron Air Mips is a reinforced MTB helmet designed for downhill racing, delivering exceptional performance, protection, ventilation, and all-day comfort. It is certified for use in both downhill and enduro racing.
The helmet's rotational impact protection system features the well-known yellow low-friction layer of the Mips Evolve system, ensuring enhanced safety. The fiberglass outer shell provides exceptional durability, while the EPP helmet liner offers multi-impact protection.
In the event of a crash, the cheek pads can be easily removed, making it simpler for medical professionals to remove the helmet and provide necessary assistance. The innovative ventilation system is designed to channel air through the helmet, ensuring comfort at both high and low speeds.
Finally, the patented breakaway peak will snap off the helmet during a fall, enhancing neck protection. The specific ear chambers in the design minimize the impact of wearing a full-face helmet on hearing and balance.
